A Poem: Right Ladder, Wrong Wall

9 Jan

Sometimes, I need tough love.  Maybe you do, too?  Here’s another poem I wrote:

Right Ladder, Wrong Wall

Are you working hard
Putting in the effort
Giving time and energy
For a life of comfort?

Are you contented
With how you’re making a living?
Or did you just realize
That you’re making a dying?

Is your body nourished
with food that you love?
but still hungry and thirsty
You can hear your soul sob?

Are you living the life
you have always imagined?
Or do you often hear yourself say
Thank God, it’s almost weekend!

The truth of the matter is
He gave you muscles and a brain
Now, stop the drama
And use them to your gain
